I started D Ruelas Bookkeeping to help small businesses get the financial clarity they need. Bookkeeping is the foundation of a business's finances and good books offer tremendous insight into an operation. Messy books can quickly lead to unclear financials and unclear financial decisions as a result, not ideal for business.
Coming from a background in income tax preparation and immersed in the operations of a small business, I've been very fortunate to work for and closely with many small business owners. Getting to see the types of issues that unclear finances can cause a business firsthand is a major motivation for me in making sure the financials are done right.
My goal is to offer bookkeeping with a personal approach. I'm the one entering transactions and reconciling accounts, but I'm also the one answering the phone and responding to emails. I value direct communication with my clients, intentionally designing the business this way. I think of working together with my clients, not just doing the books.
Books that are reconciled and correct, every month, without exception.
